Hotels Get Their Mobile WebSites Built for Free

HONG KONG, CHINA—To keep the hospitality industry in sync with the mobile web trend, hospitality Internet consultant Business Creation and Xtown Mobile, a mobile solution provider, have helped 12 hotels in Hong Kong to launch their mobile web presence. And they have set out to develop mobile websites for more hotels free of charge.
“By 2013, mobile Internet users will top 1.7 billion.” said Alex Cheng, Director of Business Creation. “They are the ones who yearn for actionable information on the go and on time. Hoteliers have to be ready to provide it.” On these websites, mobile users can find room availability and make their reservations directly for their trips with their phones. The structures of these mobile websites were optimized for guiding users to the most popular information they want to know about a hotel: Room types and availability, photos, and reservation page.

They expect ease of use, quick application and accessibility anytime anywhere.” commented Erwin Huang, seasoned Mobile IT angel investor, chairman of Xtown Mobile. “By matching Xtown's mobile application expertise with Business Creation's in-depth knowledge of the hotel industry, we think the new product will be able to satisfy these new consumers.”
While the websites were optimized for users, Business Creation and Xtown Mobile boiled down website building process to one step for hoteliers: They just need to fill an information form and send in the photos and the rest is on the two partners. The mobile websites are available in English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese.
